Seedream 5.0 Pro is an image model from ByteDance's Seed team. According to the Seed team's official blog, it launched on July 8, 2026, aimed at design work such as dense infographics and text in several languages. Seedream Pro is an independent studio that runs it online.
Seedream 5.0 Pro starts on the Basic plan, so free accounts see it locked. Each image costs 7 credits at 1K and 14 at 2K, and the cost appears before you generate. To try your prompt free first, switch to 5.0 Lite, which runs on the free plan at 2K.
Seedream 5.0 Pro outputs 1K or 2K for Text to Image and Image Edit, and 1K, 1.5K or 2K for Layer Decomposition. This version has no 4K option here; for 4K, use 4.5 or 5.0 Lite from Basic.
